Licensed Practical Nurse- IP Rehab

The licensed practical nurse acts in a manner that is consistent with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the organization. Provides routine patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse in accordance with the South Carolina State Board of Nursing as outlined in the South Carolina Title 40 Nurse Practice Act. Duties include but are not limited to :

• Collects healthcare data
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed by an authorized licensed provider
• Implements nursing interventions and tasks
• Provides basic teaching for health promotion and maintenance
• Assists in the evaluation of responses to interventions
• Provides for the maintenance of safe and effective nursing care rendered directly or indirectly
• Participates with other healthcare providers in the planning and delivery of healthcare
• Delegates nursing tasks to qualified others
• Performs additional acts requiring special education and training
