About The Position

Job Title : Certified Surgical Tech

Experience : 2+ years of current operating room experience in a hospital or medical setting

License : Required

Certifications : BLS, NBSTSA

Must-Have :

• Strong experience in general, robotics, pediatrics, ENT, orthopedic, laparoscopic, and urology procedures
• Level I trauma experience

Description :

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, you will contribute professional knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients.

You will apply the nursing process in your daily responsibilities.

The patient population includes a variety of specialty areas, including cardiac, neuro, orthopedic trauma, robotics, gynecology, urology, general, pediatrics, and transplants.

You can expect a high average caseload of 35-50 cases per day.

You will be responsible for ensuring turnovers are less than 20 minutes.

Special equipment includes three robotic systems.

Neuro navigation is primarily done using stealth technology, and orthopedic trauma procedures utilize Synthes or Stryker equipment.

The operating room consists of 16 suites with routine usage of 12-14 suites.

As a Level I trauma center, there is space reserved for trauma cases.

You will be required to scrub or circulate in various procedures.

On-call responsibilities will include 1 overnight shift per week as well as 3 weekends per contract term.

Travel across multiple campuses may be required.
