We are currently seeking a reliable Box Truck Driver to join our team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Safely maneuver a 26' box truck to efficiently transport goods and products to designated locations.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure on-time deliveries
- Load and unload merchandise from the truck using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Verify and confirm the accuracy of delivery orders with customers
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery receipts
- Communicate with the dispatch team and customers to provide updates on delivery status
- Handle any customer inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding delivery schedules and protocols
Role Requirements :
Previous experience as a box truck or delivery driverKnowledge of local traffic laws and routesExcellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safetyAbility to handle physical demands of loading and unloading goodsGood communication and customer service skillsBasic math skills for verifying order quantities and handling cash transactionsAttention to detail and accuracy in completing delivery paperworkAbility to work independently and follow instructionsFlexible schedule with the willingness to work occasional weekends or overtimePhysical demands : Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
