Join us as a Manual Machinist Technician in our Kansas City, KS facility.

In this role, you will be responsible formanual lathe machining, operating machines and tools for the Pump Service Group, receiving parts and materials, preparing pumps and castings, assembling equipment, and performing routine layouts for machining parts.

What’s in it for you?

The anticipated hourly pay range for this role is : $28.00 - $30.00. This position comes with a $1 pay increase after 6 months and $1 pay increase after 1 year

9 holidays & 2 floating holidays

1 week PTO for first year after 90 days, then 2 weeks a year

More details about the opportunity :

Receives parts / material to be machined, transported, painted and obtain necessary tools and gauges.

Receives work assignments from process documents, blueprints, and written or verbalinstructions.

Sets up and operates machines using tools and equipment needed, selects proper speeds and feeds.

Positions part in machine, secure and align using hoist or crane.

Performs a variety of machining operations such as face, bore, turn, ream, thread, drill, tap, mill, chamfer, etc.

Prepares pumps, parts, castings, patterns, etc. for domestic or export shipments and labels, weighs, loads, blocks freight, as instructed.

Perform operations such as receive material, material handling, check for damage, quantity, conformance to purchase order and prepare receiving report.

Assembles, disassembles, inspects and tests pumping equipment as necessary.

Abrasive blast parts and equipment, deburr, file impellers, and operate coating line equipment.

Lubricates machines as required. Keeps machines, tools and workplace clean.

Sets up and operates welding machines and equipment used in fabrication, weld repairs, tack welds, brazes, solders, etc.

Position hours / shift :

1st shift – 7 : 00am to 3 : 30pm

Physical Requirements :

Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting and lowering weights up to 50 pounds. Steel toed shoes are required on the distribution floor.Must be able to read bills-of-material and blueprints, as well as follow written or verbal instructions. Must be able to operate mobile equipment as directed.Must have valid driver’s license and be willing to travel 25% of the time.
