Patient ratios are 1 : 1, 1 : 2, and 1 : 3. Unit staffing includes unit secretaries and techs at ratios of 1 : 2 and 1 : 3. Required equipment includes SLEDD and EVD, along with ICU modalities. Documentation system used is Meditech. Scheduling allows for self-scheduling. Floating is in rotation with all staff. Advanced skills needed include EVD placement, central line, and arterial line. Dress code requires black scrubs. Unit specific policies and guidelines are in place. Recognition for outstanding team efforts is acknowledged. The unit features new equipment and technology.
