Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist with at least 2 years of experience and ARDMS certification for weekday day shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a hospital setting performing complete and limited echocardiograms
  • Use GE and Philips ultrasound machines
  • Procedures include Transthoracic Echocardiography, Transesophageal Echocardiography, and Cardiac Stress testing
  • Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts with no call required
  • Average of 7 exams scheduled per day, with occasional add-on cases
  • Use the hospital electronic medical record system for patient information and reporting
  • Perform high-quality diagnostic cardiac ultrasound exams and administer enhancement agents as needed
  • Prepare and educate patients for procedures to ensure cooperation and minimize anxiety
  • Contact referring provider for clarification if exam orders appear incorrect
  • Document findings and critical results in accordance with departmental policy
  • Adhere to safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality standards
  • Study guides for EKG testing will be provided
  • No dysrhythmia exam required
  • Local candidates accepted

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac / Echo Sonographer
  • Current BLS certification required
  • ARDMS certification required; CCI certification not accepted
  • Associate degree in a related health science field is preferred
  • Must pass a Pass / Fail EKG test on the first day, with up to two attempts allowed
  • Radius rule : candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility for travel rate eligibility
  • License required if applicable
