JOB SUMMARY
The Journeyman Electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Installs power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment
- Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment
- Connect cables and wire between machine and equipment
- Diagnose malfunctioning electrical apparatus
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other electrical components
- Replace faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors, and position sensing devices
- Diagnose, repair, or replace faulty electronic components including printed circuit boards
- Plan wiring layouts and install wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus to buildings
- Use various tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps
- Knowledge of arithmetic
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Ensure compliance of all safety procedures and policies while promoting company’s safety culture
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED requiredAt least 3 years’ experience as an electricianNCCER or Journeyman’s electrical licenseSKILLS / KEY COMPETENCIES
