Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1,950 - $2,090 per week

Location : Freeport, IL 61032 (Illinois healthcare jobs)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Setting : Acute Care, Emergency Department (24-bed ER)

Start Date : October 27, 2025

End Date : January 26, 2026

Duration : 13-week nursing contract

Shift : 12-hour rotating shifts (Days / Evenings; flexibility required)

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Orientation : 2 shifts (12 hours each)

Emergency Room Nurse Qualifications

Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license

Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience

Current certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNS or TNCC, NIHSS

Proficient in moderate sedation and critical care drips

Phlebotomy skills required

Ability to work flexible start times and rotating shifts

First-time travel nurses welcome to apply!

ER RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics

Assess, triage, and manage a variety of acute medical conditions, including respiratory, cardiac, trauma, and behavioral health emergencies

Administer moderate sedation and manage critical care drips as required

Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, wound care, and assist with procedures such as lumbar punctures

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and clinical support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Document patient care using the Meditech electronic charting system

Float to other hospital units (Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, ICU) as needed, based on experience

Maintain professional nursing standards and comply with hospital policies, including wearing solid color professional scrubs
