Job description

Title : Mechanical Construction Supervisor

Location :

  • Looking for candidates in the Reno, NV OR Beaver, Utah areas

Sites are located 1 hour into the mountain from :

  • Winnemucca NV 89446
  • Fallon NV 89406
  • Austin NV 89310
  • Beaver UT
  • Tonapah, NV 89049
  • Hours of Operation : Monday - Friday

    Start Time : 7AM

    (50 hour work week)

    Pay :

  • 33-42 / hour
  • Job Description :

    This position is responsible for : Supervision of the construction of geothermal power plants, at the various locations of installation, provide experience in mechanical industrial construction. Develop work plans and follow up on progress during the construction. Review and implement mechanical design drawings and specifications. Project scheduling assistance and evaluations for 3rd party contract bid development. Quality assurance of all mechanical installations.

    Must Have :

  • Be located within 100 Mile radius of Reno, NV or Beaver, UT
  • Strong Mechanical aptitude : Mechanical design drawings, mechanical installations, mechanical quality inspections, and welding inspections (structural steel)
  • Experience responding to RFI's, submittals, reviewing schedules, contract bids, diagrams, etc.
  • 4+ years of mechanical experience within a large industrial environment (power plant, gas power plant, nuclear plant, solar plant, etc.), or mining or utility
  • Ex titles : Foreman, Superintendent, Mechanical Supervisor, Field Supervisor
  • The ability to navigate and work in remote field locations and work outdoors in difficult weather conditions.
  • MS Suite experience (excel, word, ppt)
  • Day to Day :

  • Manage multiple tasks of high complexity.
  • Supervision of mechanical construction crew, including company employees and subcontractors.
  • Oversee the formal planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Participate in bid process with contractors and subcontractors, and assist with bid review and assessment.
  • Respond to construction organization needs.
  • Support local permitting and regulatory activities.
  • Responsible for implementation of applicable mechanical, safety and environmental codes and regulations during project execution.
  • Must be able to operate a vehicle in a safe manner, enter and exit vehicle without assistance, remain alert while driving for continuous period of time, read and understand maps.
  • Must be able to work weekends and / or holidays when necessary.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Must be able to travel extensively to other locations, including international and rural areas, sometimes with extended periods away from home
