About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

License : Valid permanent state license required; temporary licensure not accepted.

Certifications : BLS, Wound and Ostomy certification preferred; any wound care certification will be considered.

Must-Have : EPIC experience required.

Description :

The position requires a registered nurse specializing in wound care.

The registered nurse will assess and manage patients with various wound types.

Responsibilities include providing wound consultations and performing ostomy care.

The clinician may work with special equipment such as WoundVision and Wound VAC.

Experience in handling different patient diagnoses, including HAPI and chronic wounds, is essential.

The nurse must maintain effective communication with patients and their families.

Flexibility to accommodate weekend shifts may be necessary.

Patient age groups range from neonates to geriatrics.

Interdisciplinary support will be available, including services such as respiratory and social support.

The daily census is approximately 950 patients.

The unit is equipped to handle a diverse range of procedures related to wound care.

Candidates should have experience with various wound management techniques.

Knowledge in assessments and evaluations of pressure ulcers is required.

The environment fosters collaboration with other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.

All staff are expected to adhere to hospital policies and procedures.

Continuing education and skill enhancement are encouraged to stay current with best practices in wound care.

Candidates must be open to floating within the facility as needed.

Successful candidates will demonstrate commitment to patient care and quality services.
