Position : Oncology Research Nurse

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Oncology Nurse to join our growing clinical research team in a remote capacity. This role is ideal for a nurse looking to transition away from direct patient care while continuing to make a meaningful impact in oncology. You will be central to screening and enrolling patients into clinical trials, collaborating with nuclear medicine physicians, and ensuring accurate safety and adverse event reporting.
This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple clinics, with some travel required for onboarding and periodic site visits. You ll work closely with Clinical Data Specialists and other cross-functional teams to support trial operations and patient access to cutting-edge therapies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clinical Trial Enrollment & Coordination
- Screen patients for clinical trial eligibility by reviewing clinical notes and retrieving medical records
- Extract and summarize relevant clinical information for nuclear medicine physicians
- Obtain informed consent and manage enrollment and follow-up activities
- Ensure accurate and timely adverse event and safety reporting
- Collaborate with Clinical Data Specialists to ensure data integrity and protocol compliance
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and source records
- Participate in site qualification, initiation, monitoring, and closeout visits
- Support recruitment and retention efforts through outreach and education
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with physicians, clinic staff, and research teams to ensure seamless trial execution
- Coordinate communication between clinical and research teams
- Assist with sponsor and CRO communications and study-related teleconferences
- Travel & Site Support
- Travel to designated clinics periodically
- Support clinic-based trial activities and foster relationships with site staff
EDUCATION & EXPEREINCE
Experienced Oncology NursingStrong understanding of medical records, clinical documentation, and patient data extractionFamiliarity with safety and adverse event reporting in clinical trialsMedical knowledge and experience in Cancer CareProficiency in conducting Research and implementing ProtocolsExperience with phase 1 clinical trials is a plusExcellent communication and patient care skillsAbility to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamBachelor's degree in Nursing or related field, with current RN licensePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a computer; must be able to squat, bend, and assist with patient transfers during room prep and clinical procedures.BENEFITS :
