Northern Idaho Advanced Care Hospital in Post Falls, Idaho is a long-term acute care hospital dedicated to patients with serious, medically complex conditions that require extended hospitalization and specialized care. We provide advanced critical care services for individuals recovering from severe illness or injury - including ventilator weaning and respiratory therapy, complex wound care, post-intensive care rehabilitation, and management of multiple organ system conditions. Our highly skilled team of physicians, critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, and rehabilitation specialists deliver around-the-clock care with a focus on stabilizing health and promoting recovery. The hospital features advanced monitoring equipment and all private rooms to enhance patient comfort and safety. NIACH is expanding its services and is opening an in-patient rehabilitation (IRU) unit to pair with its long-term acute care beds. The IRU will provide acute rehabilitation services to patients with neurologic, orthopedic, cardiac and respiratory disease. Responsibilities
Evaluates patients and helps them improve basic motor functions and reasoning abilities, but also compensate for permanent loss of function by teaching them to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments. These patients may have conditions that are mentally, physically, developmentally, or emotionally disabling. May also assist patients in selecting appropriate adaptive equipment and assistive devices. Integrates the hospital's mission and "Guiding Principles" into daily practice.
