Licensed Clinical MFT / CPC intern position, with on-site supervision.

SUMMARY :

SOH is eagerly seeking licensed MFT / CPC intern to start as soon as possible with our agency. This positionis responsible forprovidingcrisis intervention and crisis therapeutic services to victims of sexual violence, sexual exploitation, and labortrafficking, whichinclude adult and minor victims and their families.This role willbe responsible forcompleting client intakeassessments,administering clinical assessment tools,crisis intervention, and individual and grouptherapy.TheTherapistwill work withSigns of H.O.P.Eadvocates,case managers,clinicians, and community partners to holisticallyassistclients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

Core duties and responsibilities during scheduled hours include the following :

• Conducting initialintake assessments

Assessing patients emotional and mental health and developing treatment plans to meet them.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

No direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Hold current intern license with the state of Nevada as a Clinical Professional Counselor (CPC) or Marriage and Family Therapist in good standing isrequiredat the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.

Master's degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, social work or closely related academic field and three years of post-masters degree professional mental health counseling experience ; OR an equivalent combination of education and clinical experience at or above a master's degree and experience as described above.

A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting arerequired. Persons offered employment in this position will berequiredto pay for these items.

Bilingual in Spanish or Mandarin is preferred.

COMPENSATION : HOURS

25 hours per week
