About the Role

The Company is in search of a strategic Chief Business Officer (CFO) to lead its financial operations. The ideal candidate will be a mission-driven, growth-focused individual with a strong background in finance and accounting, particularly in complex organizations with significant budgets. Experience in online education or tech / startups is preferred, and a CPA is a plus. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and financial reporting, as well as advising the CEO and leadership team on long-term fiscal strategy. Key traits for this role include being a strategic thinker with strong operational execution, an effective communicator, and a collaborative leader who is detail-oriented, analytical, and process-driven.

The successful CFO will also be tasked with managing and mentoring a high-performing finance team, expanding non-tuition revenue streams, and implementing strong financial controls and process improvements. The role requires the ability to align planning with a continuous academic cycle, and experience with a Salesforce-based financial system is a plus. The CFO will be expected to collaborate across departments to support data-informed decisions and must be comfortable with change and innovation, as the institution is dedicated to delivering online education in a sustainable and innovative manner.
