Job description :
Structural Designer Job Description / Duties
- Reports to Director of Engineering
- Operate according to companys core values
- Participate in engineering workload meetings as required
- Occasional travel
- Use AutoCAD to produce accurate construction drawings and shop drawings
- Use DH CAD (proprietary company software) to develop preliminary drawings for sales team
- Perform structural calculations for company components
- Understand and apply relevant sections of AASHTO, ACI, ASCE and governing building codes
- Peer review and check drawings for accuracy
- Develop a high level of understanding for our precast concrete boardwalk product and manufacturing practices
