Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Behavioral Health for a Crisis Unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to individuals facing psychological crises, including the management of various behavioral health disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to patients with various behavioral health diagnoses, including MDD, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Substance Abuse.
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
  • Implement crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques effectively.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Maintain patient safety protocols, including the use of seclusion when necessary.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families.

    • Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral health setting.
  • Previous charge experience required.
  • BLS and STARR certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system is required.
  • Willingness to float between facilities if necessary.
