Job description

Contract role until 5 / 2026.

Responsibilities May Include :

  • Creation of project structures in SAP and EcoSys.
  • Creation of networks and activities to support the requisition process.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Cost Specialists to establish and input the initial budget
  • Review and validate invoices and purchase orders for compliance with cost coding and budget allocations.
  • Submit monthly accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist with invoice issues , including resolving discrepancies and ensuring timely payment processing.
  • Facilitate asset registration and ensure accurate documentation of project assets.
  • Manage commitments to maintain alignment between project costs and budgets.
  • Support the Cost Specialist with regular and ad hoc reporting requirements
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and process optimization across projects.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • 5 or more years of experience in cost control or cost engineering , preferably within the oil and gas industry
  • Strong knowledge of cost management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Proficiency in cost control and reporting software , including SAP and Microsoft Excel (or similar systems).
  • Experience managing large-scale projects or multiple smaller projects with increasing levels of responsibility, complexity, and scope
  • Solid understanding of the project lifecycle and the cross-functional interactions required for successful project execution.
  • Experience working with major EPC firms or oil & gas operators
  • Proficiency in EcoSys and Power BI for cost control, analysis, and reporting.
  • Professional certifications such as AACE CCP, PMP , or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with project planning and scheduling processes and integration with cost management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
