The nurse will be responsible for patient assessments, interventions, and management of care. Experience in acute respiratory failure, ARDS, cardiac issues, and stroke management is essential. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes. Float within the ICU service line may be required. Weekend coverage is expected every other weekend. Candidates who have experience managing complex critical care patients are preferred. Strong skills in EKG / ECG interpretation and arterial blood gas analysis are necessary. The role demands high-level critical thinking and the ability to work under pressure. Knowledge of infection control practices and use of PPE is required. Candidates should be proficient in the use of advanced medical equipment, including ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring devices. It is important to have experience with IV therapy, including starting and managing IVs. Effective communication skills and a dedication to patient-centered care are essential for success in this role.
