Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist Opening-Swing Shift - Northern Dutchess Hospital, Rhinebeck, NY

Northern Dutchess Hospital of Nuvance Health, proudly joining Northwell, located just two hours north of New York City, is seeking a full-time nurse practitioner hospitalist to join its busy and growing program. The employed position offers a competitive compensation package comprised of base salary and quality incentives, comprehensive benefits, generous allowances for CME and Dues expenses, and relocation. Shifts are 12 PM – 12 AM. Duties will include admitting and potential for cross-coverage, rounding, discharges and working with the physicians. You will have the opportunity to work independently but alongside the Physicians in Hospitalist Medicine.

Minimum Qualifications :

3 years of experience in hospital medicine, internal medicine, or critical care preferred

Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and teamwork skills

To qualify you must have a Graduate of NP educational program approved by the State of New York

Current NP certification from either the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurses Credentialing Center

Bachelors and Masters degrees

Current New York State license as registered nurse and NP

Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association

Northern Dutchess Hospital (NDH) is a 68-bed acute care not-for-profit community hospital. NDH has an excellent medical staff, exceptional anesthesia, and 24 / 7 hospitalist coverage. The hospital has recently renovated operating rooms, a brand new, top-rated emergency department, and fully modernized patient care areas. From hiking, biking, and boating, to cafes, art galleries, and local farmers markets, this beautiful suburban location offers endless ways to spend your leisure time.
