FTE : Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Pay : $25.80 - $38.70 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary :

Responsible for interrogation and reprogramming, overseeing patient flow, follow up and evaluation of implanted cardiac defibrillators (ICD), pacemakers (PM) and Event Monitors under the supervision of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Physician.

Responsibilities :

Interrogates, re-programs ICD, PM and implanted Event Monitoring devices, with full understanding of the functions, features, programmers and process.

Collects, documents and processes of the data obtained during evaluation of ICD, PM and implanted Event Monitoring devices.

Documents clinical data and patient responses in medical record, reports any abnormal findings.

Provides instruction and technical demonstrations to patients, their families and other health care professionals.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements :

• Minimum Required Education : High School diploma or GED.
• Required Licensure / Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
• Minimum Experience : 6 months of relevant experience. Preferred : 2 years of clinical experience.
• BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
