Job descriptionDevelop, implement, and oversee safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and accident investigations to identify hazards, prevent recurrence, and improve workplace safety. Coordinate safety training, emergency response drills, and first aid programs to educate employees and ensure preparedness. Manage safety data, including injury tracking, incident analysis, permits, and regulatory documentation, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date. Evaluate new equipment, production processes, and product testing procedures to identify risks, design safety solutions, and maintain quality and safety standards.
Job Description
A mid-sized manufacturing operation with facilities in Chandler, AZ and California is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a direct hire opportunity which includes salary and employee benefits.
Qualifications / Experience :
- High School Degree or equivalent
- 5+ years manufacturing safety
- 4+ years’ experience in safety and health program management
- Knowledge of OSHA, local safety laws, and other regulatory agencies
- CPR / First Aid Certified
- Ability to move up to 100 lbs.
- Forklift License-ability to operate a sit-down forklift and ability to be certified
- Bilingual in Spanish required
Responsibilities :
Travel to the manufacturing facility in Greater Los Angeles will be required. Frequency of travel will be variable based on the needs of the business.
