Job description

Crown Equipment Corporation, a family-owned global leader in material handling equipment, is looking for an experienced civil litigator to join our legal team as an Associate General Counsel – Litigation.

This onsite role in New Bremen, OH is ideal for someone who thrives on meaningful courtroom experience, enjoys collaborating with colleagues, and wants to be part of a company with a long history of stability and growth. You’ll join a close-knit team of Associate General Counsels who share an active, diverse case load and who value teamwork, integrity, and practical problem-solving.

What You’ll Do

  • Take the lead on managing litigation across the U.S., including products liability, tort, commercial, and employment matters.
  • Develop case strategies, draft and argue motions, conduct discovery and depositions, and prepare for trial.
  • Work closely with both internal stakeholders and outside counsel, ensuring strong, results-focused representation.
  • Travel as needed to attend key hearings, depositions, and trials.
  • Be a trusted advisor to leadership by providing clear, strategic legal guidance.

What We’re Looking For

  • A JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
  • 5 years of litigation experience, ideally with both law firm and in-house exposure.
  • Solid background handling products liability, tort, commercial, and / or employment cases.
  • Trial preparation and courtroom experience.
  • A strategic thinker who can manage a busy docket, communicate effectively, and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to relocate to west central Ohio (this is an on-site, non-hybrid position).
