Must-Have :Description :
The clinician will work in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting.
The patient-to-nurse ratio will be 1 : 5 and may increase to 1 : 6.
The facility operates above 100% capacity.
The clinician is expected to float to other areas within their skill set, including PCU and lower acuity settings.
Floating to the Emergency Department is a requirement, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1 : 5.
Weekends will require two shifts per four-week schedule, which may vary depending on unit needs.
COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exemptions available for religious and medical reasons.
The hospital is a Level I Trauma, Teaching Hospital, and has a high patient census, primarily serving adults and geriatrics.
Patients may present with a variety of diagnoses, including heart failure, COPD, renal transplant, and more.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy, among others.
The clinician must possess skills in starting and maintaining IVs and telemetry monitoring.
