Indirect Tax Consultant

Fully Remote Indirect Tax Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Consultant to join our team and play a vital role in our SAP migration project. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in indirect tax processes, SAP S4 / HANA implementation, and Vertex OSRS to ensure compliance and optimization of our tax systems.

Responsibilities :

• Review and assess the current SAP R3 tax configuration and its migration path to SAP S4 / HANA.
• Conduct gap analysis and recommend solutions for indirect tax compliance.
• Document configuration changes and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.
• Collaborate with external consultants to troubleshoot and resolve configuration problems.
• Ensure Vertex OSRS is properly integrated and functioning within the new SAP environment.
• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Indirect Tax processes in the U.S.
• Bridge communication and technical gaps between internal tax leadership and external consultants.
• Oversee and validate the configuration of Vertex OSRS within SAP S4 / HANA.
• Identify and resolve system configuration issues impacting tax calculation and compliance.
• Optimize tax system performance and ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Provide guidance on best practices for indirect tax setup during ERP migration.

This is a Contract position based out of White Plains, NY.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
