We are seeking a dedicated Advanced Resource CNA to provide compassionate care under the supervision of registered nurses across multiple clinical departments. This role supports patient comfort, safety, and quality care in various settings including hospice, inpatient, birthing centers, and emergency services within a regional healthcare network in the Midwest.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver competent CNA services across all nursing departments, adapting to multiple units or shifts as needed.
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support activities of daily living including housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Facilitate patient mobility through transfers, ambulation assistance, and repositioning.
- Accurately measure and document vital signs and maintain thorough clinical records.
- Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Organize workload efficiently to ensure timely care and documentation.
- Adapt flexibly to changing workloads in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating resourcefulness and prioritization skills.
- Uphold confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
- Maintain cooperative relationships with staff, patients, and visitors, respecting age-specific care standards.
- Perform emergency department-specific duties such as tracking lab and imaging results, assisting with patient discharge processes, coordinating with on-call physicians, and preparing exam rooms.
Education and Certification
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.Completion of a 75-hour CNA certification course is required.Must be listed on the state Nurse Aide Registry at the time of hire.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association is mandatory.Experience and Requirements
