Wellness CNA (M-F, 8 : 30a-5p)

Description

Piper Shores is Maine's premier nonprofit continuing care retirement community, offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing Care for our residents with a person-centered approach to care.

The Wellness CNA works with Independent Living residents to provide assistance with activities of daily living while promoting independence and well-being.

This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position with hours from 8 : 30am to 5 pm

Responsibilities :

• Develop and foster relationships with residents, understanding their individual care needs and preferences.
• Assist with ADLs while promoting independence, dignity and respect.
• Performs light housekeeping assistance such as tidying up living spaces and changing linens.
• Provides personal care visits.
• Accurately documents interactions with the Wellness Center, maintains proficiency in scheduling software with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Checks vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse and oxygen levels, supports lab specimen collection and assists with donning and doffing.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls, pendants, and pull cords, notifying the Community Wellness Nurse or security as necessary.
