Registered Nurse (RN)

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members. The Emergency Department is a 15-bed unit that specializes in Emergency Care. We are a level IV Trauma Center that serves a diverse tourist community in Summit County. We work alongside an excellent group of physicians who service Park City and Heber hospital. We offer cross-training opportunities to multiple units in the hospital for those interested. Our average nurse to patient ratio 1 : 4, with 1 : 1 for critical patients. Critical Care Tech's (CCT's) work alongside the bedside nurse in providing care for patients. Because we're a smaller facility you'll have the opportunity enhance your clinical skills by performing EKG's, IV insertions, Foley catheter placement, splinting, reconstituting your own meds, and more. Our ED has an incredibly engaged team that strongly supports new and experienced RN's.
