This position will facilitate workshops for adults and their children ages birth to 5, modeling positive parent-child interaction as well as other family engagement activities. The incumbent should have knowledge of resources for parents, be able to provide referrals, and assist families with securing information and resources to improve their lives and well-being.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Directly responsible for conducting various educational and engagement activities of the family resource program at the University of Arizona-Roosevelt Early Childhood Family Resource Center as part of a team.
- Demonstrate and model positive parent-child interaction by conducting parenting classes, play and learn groups, and other activities including developing and / or coordinating workshops.
- Responsible for developing a calendar of events with the supervisor and other staff, including enrolling families, providing resource and referral information, conducting program evaluation, and collecting data and reporting.
- Provide resource and referral information and tracking and facilitate family engagement activities and interactions that promote the Arizona Department of Education’s Infant and Toddler and Early Learning Standards, First Things First Standards of Practice, and the National Family Support Standards.
- Develop and schedule program work plan in accordance with specifications and funding limitations.
- Conduct parenting activities and educational programming in collaboration with other staff, including facilitating workshops, events, and other family engagement.
- Develop, implement, and facilitate lesson plans for workshops and curricula implementation with parents and children.
- Facilitate and coordinate program activities with other programs or staff, and conduct activities in compliance with appropriate policies, procedures, and specifications.
- Create short videos for story time / STEAM lessons and / or conduct activities virtually as needed.
- Conduct developmental screenings using the Ages and Stages Questionnaire.
- Interact with and provide problem solving assistance to families, answer questions, and make referrals to appropriate internal or external resources. Provide follow-up communication, track and document the results.
- Maintain relationships with referring agencies to ensure services are being obtained and properly discussed with families.
- Document and write success stories.
- Provide accurate and timely records of work.
- Compile program data and maintain databases and records.
- Prepare periodic reports related to program activities, progress, status, or other special reports for management or outside agencies.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, conferences, and other growth promoting activities as determined.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) :
Knowledgeable in fields of child and family development, social work, education, early childhood, health promotion and / or and other related studies.Skilled in developing and facilitating workshops for adults around human development, early literacy, and school readiness, etc.Ability to work in a busy environment with both children and adults.Organizational ability including program planning and implementation.Excellent written and verbal communications skills.Ability to collect, compile, and report data and other evaluation information.Strong computer skills, including Office Suite.Physical Requirements and Environmental Demands :

Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive according to the University .Must have a reliable, personal vehicle.Preferred Qualifications
