1st Shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily administrative operations of the laboratory, including inventory management and office supplies.
  • Oversee laboratory supplies and order new materials as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of administrative activities, including documentation and filing.
  • Provide administrative support to laboratory staff, including handling correspondence.
  • Provide support for asset management within the laboratory space, including coordinating performance qualifications (PQs) and calibrations.
  • Implement and maintain office / laboratory procedures to ensure efficiency and organization for all QC teams.
  • Assist with budgeting and financial management tasks, including tracking expenses and processing invoices.
  • Assist with vendor relationships and coordinating services.
  • Coordinate with other departments to support cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Support the onboarding process for new laboratory staff, including orientation and training on administrative procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Support the orderliness and organization of the laboratory through lean and 5S processes.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience :

  • Associate’s degree in science, business administration, or commensurate combination of education, internships, and work experience.
  • 3 years’ experience serving as an administrator in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs) :

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
  • Strong technical writing skills and the ability to create technical documentation.
  • Ability to interpret and apply Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations.
  • Strong organizational planning and written communication skills.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP strongly preferred.
  • Experience as an administrator within healthcare, pharma, or related industry.
  • Experience with supply management, purchasing, and basic budgeting

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually low, however since this position is located within manufacturing there may be occasions where increased levels of noise and exposure to particles related to the nature of work. The position is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
