Job Summary

TYLin City Solutions is looking for a dynamic Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Design Engineer to help shape the future of mobility. In this role, youll design and integrate cutting-edge transportation technologies that improve safety, optimize traffic operations, and connect communities. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, youll apply your technical expertise to deliver innovative ITS solutions that make cities smarter, safer, and more efficient. This position can be based in Florida, California, Chicago, or D.C.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What You'll Do :

• Contribute technical expertise on ITS, ATMS, and transportation technology projects.
• Develop design plans, specifications, and systems engineering documentation in line with FHWA guidelines.
• Support planning efforts, including master plans, concept of operations, and policy documents.
• Conduct field work, equipment testing, and infrastructure verification.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and electrical design documents.
• Apply knowledge across the ITS / ATMS lifecyclefrom planning and design to implementation and operations.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and assess applications for transportation safety, operations, and maintenance.
• Assist with proposals, marketing, and participation in industry events.

Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $77,800 - $138,000 annually for this position and local market. We recognize that each candidate brings a unique set of skills, experience, education and competencies to the table that will be reflected in our offer.
