Position Title : Driver

Exempt Status : Hourly / Non-Exempt
Rate : $23 - $25
Supervisor : Director of Inspiration
Description :
Drive a bus, van, or Tesla to transport residents to and from scheduled group activities, resident appointments, and errands, such as medical appointments, banking, shopping, worship services, entertainment, and other miscellaneous activities. This role is subject to random drug screens.
Essential Duties :
- Complete daily vehicle safety inspections.
- Drive vehicle to designated locations.
- Assist passengers into and out of vehicle.
- Drivers will also ensure the safety of all passengers as well as run event and community errands as needed.
- Secure passengers' wheelchairs, walkers, and other equipment to restraining devices to stabilize equipment during trip.
- Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
- Assist Director of Inspiration or Activity Assistant in assisting residents on / off bus / van, tracking attendance and coordinating equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, canes etc.)
- Load groceries and other purchased items into bus / van
- Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance
- Clean and wash vehicle regularly
- Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy
- Observe and abide by all regulations to ensure that personal health information is protection during its collection, use, disclosure, storage, and destruction within the community; and to ensure only the minimum necessary information is known to function in this position
- Follow written and oral directions
- Maintain confidentiality of resident and community information
- Complete assignments timely, completely and accurately
Requirements :
Must hold a valid and applicable Passenger Endorsed Class B state drivers’ license and have a clean driving record.
Must submit current copy of Department of Motor Vehicles Driving Record Report.Must be able to pass driving test and operate a bus (max capacity 26 passengers)High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and / or training.First aid and CPR certification (can be obtained after hire).The Variel of Woodland Hills is an equal employment opportunity employer.
