POSITION SUMMARY
Offers nutritional guidance and assistance for patients enrolled in the diabetes outpatient self-management program, those receiving home health services, and individuals attending the bariatric surgery clinic.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
- B.S. or B.A. in Food and Nutrition, Dietetics or Home Economics with a major in Food and Nutrition.
Minimum Work Experience
Two years' experience in nutrition counseling with at least 1,000 hours of direct diabetic management and / or 26 hours of professional diabetic education.Required Licenses / Certifications
Registered with Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association. Licensed as a Dietitian be the State of Texas.Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to meet minimum hiring standards.Preferred Qualification
