A health services network in Tennessee has a great Remote opportunity awaiting a new Cognos / TMI Developer.
Responsibilities :
The Cognos / TMI Developer (Remote) will :
- Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to design, develop, modify, or integrate complex information systems
- Devise or modify application systems and procedures to optimize functional requirements including capacity, operating time, response time, and form of desired results
- Design, code, test, debug, and document programs, subroutines, and scripts
- Work with Business Users or Business Systems Analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical specification
- Maintain technical skill set for software languages, databases, platforms, operating systems, utilities and networks needed to support work assignments
- Assist in preparing and maintaining application design document
- Respond to system failures and performance events by taking appropriate measures to reduce system downtime and eliminate recurrence of problems
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications :
3+ years of System Analysis, System Administration, and / or Programming experienceBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related fieldExperience with Cognos Analytics, IBM Planning Analytics Local, IBM Planning Analytics Workspace and TM1Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Enterprise Linux RHELKnowledge of information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology and standardsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organizedDesired Skills :
Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and PodmanExperience with SQL, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services SSRS and Microsoft Power BIReport writing, cube building and analysis experience with CognosExperience in the health insurance industry Knowledge of BCBST’s basic business operations
