POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Directly manage the execution of assigned projects and deliver projects within defined scope, on time and on budget
- Provide field construction management of assigned projects
- Coordinate design and permitting of projects
- Provide direction and guidance to engineering consultants working on CPKC projects
- Prepare cost estimates for internal review
- Provide conceptual design alternatives for internal business case reviews
- Review 3rd party customer and / or external projects to ensure CPKC Standards are met and CPKC operations are not impacted
- Provide safety leadership through job site safety audits
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or general equivalency is requiredValid driver’s licenseBachelors’ degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)Provide on-call support and response on a rotating cycle for incidents and emergencies to support CPKC’s 24 / 7 operationRequires travel when necessary to visit project sites and lead on site workMinimum 5 years of railway experience with progressive responsibility in design, construction oversight, and project managementWill consider applicant with equivalent heavy civil construction and project management experienceWHAT CPKC HAS TO OFFER
