SENIOR WATER RESOURCE CONTROL ENGINEER

Job Description and Duties

Positions at the Water Boards may be eligible for telework with in-person attendance based on the operational needs of the position.

The Division of Water Quality at the State Water Resources Control Board has an opening to lead the Industrial Stormwater Unit as a Senior Water Resource Control Engineer (Supervisor). The position is located at 1001 I Street, 15th Floor, Sacramento, right in the heart of downtown next to light rail stations and other public transportation.

Duties :

Lead a unit of engineers and scientists to implement the Industrial and Construction Permitting Stormwater Program in California; work closely with regional board, other stormwater program staff, and interested parties to issue the statewide stormwater Industrial and Construction General Permits, provide customer service to the regulated community and the public, develop guidance, and evaluate the program. Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education / experience.
