Role : Network Security Engineer (SME)

Location : NY, NY Onsite

Fulltime Role

Job description : Experience 10+ years

Indicative Activities :

IP Separation of Production and Non-Production environment using Illumio Policy
Inventory workloads and assign Illumio labels
Define segmentation rulesets using labels and IP lists
Apply policies in stages, test / validate and refine
Enabling Resource Public Key Infrastructure (RPKI) in a non-enforcing (monitoring) mode
Validate identified network security vulnerabilities and provide remediation guidance
Security & Compliance (IAM, VPC Service Controls, KMS, Vulnerability Scanning)

Technical Skills :

Strong knowledge of network security controls and tools (Illumio)

Network & Security (WAN, LAN, WLAN, VLAN, VPN)

Routing & Switching (CCNP R&S, CCIE Security Written)

Firewall & Security Solutions (NGFW, NAC, Proxy, WAF, IDS / IPS, Email / Web App Filters)

VPN (Site-to-Site, SSL VPN, Remote Access)

Cloud & Virtualization Security (VMs, Infrastructure Defense, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NIST Controls)

Security Frameworks & Compliance (ITIL, NIST, ISO, PCI DSS)

Tenable Vulnerability Management

Ability to analyze and respond to security incidents effectively

Qualification :

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Relevant certifications in network engineering or security are highly desirable

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
