🏥 Unit Overview

Unit Name : Med Surg / Tele – Inpatient Surgical (3rd Floor)

Accepts : Local clinicians

Beds : 48 (split between two buildings)

Primary Model : Primary care nursing

👩‍⚕️ Staffing & Ratios

Days – Blessing staff nurse (typically non-assigned)

🧠 Required Certifications

🩺 Common Diagnoses / Patient Types

💊 Skills & Experience Required

PCA pumps & reversal agents (e.g., Narcan)

💉 Drips & Monitoring

🌬️ RT / Equipment

🕒 Scheduling & Shifts

Self-scheduling allowed (discuss with leader)

If floated to higher acuity → support role (no full patient load)

👕 Dress Code / Orientation

1 × 12-hour shift on assigned unit / shift
