Job Description : Hi there my name is Angela. I'm hiring a personal care aide working in San Bernardino, California. My goal is to hire a hard working, reliable person with live-out availability. Pay is 25 an hour and people get paid for 2 hours minimum each time regardless of how long they are here. Services And Training : I am a college student who has cerebral palsy Asperger’s. Due to a recent acute infection I lost the strength in my legs that allowed me to stand transfer independently and I now need help transferring to and from my bed and changing briefs as well as light housekeeping ( sweeping and mopping taking out trash / changing sheets on my twin bed As of very recently I also need help with dressing changes on my left leg. It would be a huge plus if you have experience with dressing changes but I do have more than one person who works with me so if you aren’t comfortable doing it it’s okay. I am 5ft 8in and 145 lbs. I can help bare weight on my legs but I need considerable support at the moment I recently got a left chair that eliminates most of the physical effort of moving me. It’s like a simplified hoyer lift and so far only one person has had any difficulty in learning to use it as I can guide you through it. Ideally, you have personal transportation available. Our best-possible applicant would have previous experience but it’s fine if you don’t have any as long as you are reliable, willing to learn and listen carefully to instructions. Note : due to the personal nature of helping me change clothes I will only consider guys if they have verifiable medical experience ( nursing students, paramedics and or paramedic students is considered medical experience as far as I’m concerned. Females don’t need any experience just willingness to learn.
