Job Title : Nuclear Procurement Specialist
Salary Range : $45-$55 per hour
Location : Charlotte, NC
Introduction :
- We are searching for a Nuclear Procurement Specialist for a Tier 1 utility. Must have Outstanding sourcing, contracting, negotiating & planning / organization skills, problem-solving skills, oral and written communication skills, negotiating skills, interpersonal skills, relationship management skills, and statistical and analytical skills within the commercial nuclear sector.

Ideal candidates will have experience in supporting the implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and Prevailing Wage requirements to support the nuclear business unit.MUST HAVE STRATEGIC SOURCING EXPERIENCEMUST HAVE PERFORMED REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) AND CORRESPONDING BID EVENT DEVELOPMENT in the commercial nuclear sectorMUST HAVE PERFORMED SUPPLIER PROPOSAL COMMERCIAL EVALUATION AND TECHNICAL REVIEW COORDINATIONMUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN ANALYZING RESPONSES TO COMPLEX BID REQUESTS, POINTING OUT COMMERCIAL DIFFERENCES, AND MAKING SUCCINCT RECOMMENDATIONS IN SELECTING APPROPRIATE SUPPLIERS FOR CONTRACT AWARDS BASED UPON THE BID EVALUATION WEIGHTING CRITERIADay-to-Day Responsibilities?
100% of the time for this position is to support the implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and Prevailing Wage requirements to support the nuclear business unit. Duties include but are not limited to the following :Actively educate suppliers and negotiate pricing impacts on previously issued fixed price contracts / T&M / Target Price and associated amendments as well as new contracts in 2025Continuously educate the Nuclear BU job sponsors and contract managers on applicable IRA requirements who are requesting new contracted servicesReview new contracts, purchase orders and releases to ensure IRA requirements are appropriately included (when applicable)Work with the Supply Chain (SC) IRA program lead and Duke Energy's Tax organization to answer all IRA related questions from Nuclear BU job sponsors or suppliersWork with suppliers to ensure complete and compliant monthly IRA prevailing wage payroll submissions, as well as working with suppliers to remediate any short pay situations related to the IRA prevailing wage requirementsLI-MW2
