FORKLIFT OPERATOR

As a Forklift Operator at Walmart, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and retrieve merchandise within the warehouse or distribution center. • Maneuver forklifts in tight spaces and narrow aisles while maintaining control and awareness of surroundings.
• Loading and Unloading :
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and shipping containers using forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Transfer merchandise between storage areas, shipping docks, and delivery trucks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Stack and organize merchandise in storage racks or designated locations within the warehouse.
• Inventory Management :
• Assist with inventory counting, cycle counts, and stock replenishment as needed.
• Use handheld devices or computer systems to update inventory records and locate merchandise.
• Communicate any inventory discrepancies or shortages to supervisors for resolution.
• Safety and Compliance :
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines for forklift operation, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Conduct pre-operational inspections of forklifts and equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, maintenance issues, or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.

• Qualifications :
• Valid forklift operator certification or license required.
