A company is looking for an Investment Accountant responsible for accounting reconciliations and financial disclosures for investment portfolios. Key Responsibilities Prepare balance sheet and income statement reconciliations for fixed maturity and equity securities Prepare investment disclosures for financial statements on a GAAP & Statutory basis Analyze and validate data from internal and external sources, and evaluate the investment portfolio for potential impairments Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields 3+ years of Investment Accounting experience in the insurance or finance industries preferred Knowledge of GAAP & Statutory accounting for Investments preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (macros, pivot tables, advanced formulas) Experience with financial reporting systems, preferably SAP
