Controlled Storage Custodian
The Supply Chain Management organization within the Weapons Production Directorate at Los Alamos National Laboratory (TRIAD) is looking for an exceptional part-time Controlled Storage Custodian to join the Supply Chain Management Group (SCL-2). The selected candidate will manage construction, programmatic, and facility related material for the Associate Lab Director for Weapons Production (ALDWP). This is a vital part of ensuring construction, and facility milestones and deliverables are met. Candidate will utilize multiple inventory management systems to maintain and verify inventory levels as well as ensure item traceability. Ensure items are stored on shelves and organized in a manner that will ensure expeditious item retrieval. Responsible for locating, pulling and staging material for construction related activities. Ensure material pulled is the correct Management Level (ML) for end use application and comply with applicable codes and standards. Comply with institution-controlled storage procedures, P330-11, 12 and 13. Ensure material is controlled, defined storage level requirements are met, shelf-life enforcement, accuracy of inventory records, and maintenance or special handling of quality-affecting items. This candidate will maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat; maintaining a clean receiving area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; working cohesively in a team environment; providing high level of attention to detail; and exhibits strong organizational skills.
Due to staffing needs these part-time positions will support weekend hours (Friday through Sunday) ranging from 5 : 00pm to 3 : 30am; typically, 2 shifts of 10 hours per day.
This position will be filled at either the Production Control Specialist 1 or 2 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.
Production Control Specialist 1 ($59,200-$91,600)
In this role, the selected candidates will assist in effectively and compliantly managing, construction, programmatic, and facility related material for the Associate Lab Director for Weapons Production (ALDWP). This is a vital part of ensuring construction, and facility milestones and deliverables are met. You may manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Laundry at TA-55, RLUOB, RLW, TWF, RANT / WCRRF and CMR for the Associate Lab Director for Weapons Production (ALDWP). You will utilize multiple inventory management systems to maintain and verify inventory levels as well as manage centralized distribution and assignment of PPE lockers. Ensure items are stored on shelves and organized in a manner that will ensure expeditious item retrieval. Will assist in locating, pulling and staging material. Ensure material pulled is the correct Management Level (ML) for end use application and comply with applicable codes and standards. Comply with institution-controlled storage procedures, P330-11, 12 and 13. Ensure material is controlled, defined storage levels are met, shelf-life enforcement, accuracy of inventory records, and maintenance or special handling of quality-affecting items.
Production Control Specialist 2 ($71200 - $112,900)
In addition to the Production Control Specialist 1 job duties, the selected candidates should have knowledge of relevant Laboratory policies, procedures, and standards. Knowledge of inventory management and control practices with an awareness of NQA-1 standards. These candidates will contribute to the resolutions of problems of moderately complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Assures safety and security compliance, maintains required safety and security training, and makes safety and security an integral part of every task, including taking the necessary steps to stop or pause work if continuing the job is unsafe or compromises security. General knowledge of supply chain management and resource management practices. Knowledge of configuration management, change control, and release management processes.

Education / Experience for Production Control Specialist 1 : Position requires a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Education / Experience for Production Control Specialist 2 : Position requires 5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
