Opportunity Details Location : Midland, TX Contract Type : Locum Tenens – Emergency Medicine Assignment Length : Long-term (6 months) Shifts per Month : 30–35 (Days, Swings, Nights TBD) Start Date : September 1, 2025 Position Overview Provide comprehensive emergency care across adult and pediatric populations in a busy community ED Manage high-acuity cases, triage effectively, and initiate critical interventions Collaborate with nursing, advanced practice, and ancillary teams to develop and execute care plans Perform required procedures (e.g., airway management, conscious sedation, fracture reduction) Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the EMR and participate in quality-improvement initiatives Candidate Requirements Board Certification / Eligibility : BE / BC in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) Licensure : Active Texas MD license (or eligibility via expedited temporary licensure) Clinical Files : Clean credentialing files only; no pending actions or sanctions Program & Facility Details Annual ED Volume : ~73,000 visits (199 per day) Patients per Hour : 2–2.5 APC Coverage : Projected 50 physician hours and 50 APC hours per week EMR System : Medhost Travel & Benefits Competitive weekly pay (negotiable based on experience) AAA-rated malpractice & liability coverage Full travel & lodging assistance Dedicated credentialing and compliance support for a seamless onboarding This is an exceptional opportunity for Emergency Medicine Physicians seeking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic community setting.
