Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant Arlington, VA Pay From : $20 Per Hour MUST : 3 years of experience as a medical assistant in a fast paced medical practice Certified or registered as a medical assistant or willing to become so with an MA diploma Experience working in an allergy or ENT office preferred Experience administering injections Documenting and updating information in EMR Rooming patients and obtaining vitals Assisting with exams and procedures Ability to translate for Spanish speaking patients DUTIES : The duties of the Medical Assistant include but are not limited to the following : Room patients Obtain vitals Administer injections Mix serums Assist physician and physician assistant in exam rooms Give instructions to patients as instructed by physician or physician assistant Ensure all related reports, and labs are filed and entered into medical records Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient / physician / pharmacy calls Triage and process messages from patients and front office staff to physicians and physician assistants Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.) All other duties as assigned by clinical coordinator or practice administrator Quadrant is an affirmative action / equal opportunity employer.
