About The Position

Job Title : Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Profession : Cardiac Cath Lab

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day Shift

Hours per Shift : 10 hours (6 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM)

Experience : Minimum 2 years

License : Registered Nurse License for Circulator role; Registered Radiologic Technologist License, Fluoroscopy & ARRT license

Certifications : Required certifications as listed

Description :

Must have cath lab experience.

10-hour shifts from 6 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM.

RCIS certification is not accepted.

Unit Information :

Number of beds : 3 Cath / EP / Hybrid / Structural Heart rooms.

Staffing : 3 staff members per room, including RNs and Radiologic Technologists.

Patient Ratios : 3 patients per case.

Type of equipment used : GE and Philips labs, Mac Lab / Cardiolab EMR - Meditech.

Typical procedures performed :

Left / Right heart catheterizations.

Angioplasty and stenting.

IVUS and ICE procedures.

Atherectomy.

Atrial Fibrillation ablations.

Micra S, ICDs, PM, Lead extraction.

Structural Heart procedures including TAVR, TMVR, Tricuspid, LAAC (Watchman), PFO / ASD.

Ideal candidate personality :

Enjoys working hard as part of a team.

Possesses an upbeat and positive attitude.

Weekends and on-call requirements :

One weekend per month and one night call per week (3 : 30 PM onwards).
