JOB DESCRIPTION   Position Title Laborer Reports To : Superintendent   Position Summary The laborer performs tasks involving physical labor at various jobsites.  The position may operate a variety of hand and power tools and may clean and prepare sites, clean up rubble and debris, and remove waste materials.  The position may assist other craft workers. Essential Functions / Position Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

The Laborer is responsible for the following :

• Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor
• Maintains a clean jobsite, picks up tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards
• Building / Demolition
• Performs material handling and storage
• Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and hoists materials
• Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed, brings issues to the attention of the foreman and / or superintendent
• Provides assistance to craft workers
• Operate power tools
• Able to take direction from management and / or senior craftsmen
• Maintains a positive attitude
• Provide a good work ethic and effort towards all assigned tasks
• Able to be a team player
• Willingness to learn new tasks
• Share knowledge & help train others
• Ability to communicate clearly with the team on the jobsite
• Demonstrate consistent attendance on the jobsite

Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
