About the Role

Were hiring a Sr. Engineering Manager to lead Core Product and Platform Engineeringthe backbone of Helius. Your teams power our low-latency RPC APIs, data streams, and Solana validators. These performance-critical systems must adhere to extremely high standards for availability, latency, and reliability. The surface area is large, the expectations are high, and the impact is immediate.

Youll drive technical direction across some of the most demanding systems in the Solana ecosystem. Youll coach senior engineers and managers, shape engineering culture, and partner directly with founders on strategy. This role calls for someone with a deeply technical background, who transitioned to engineering leadership in search of broadening their impact. You must operate with high agency, bring clarity to complex problems, and guide teams through fast-paced, high-stakes execution. Its ideal for someone on a path toward VP Eng who wants real scope and responsibility.

What You'll Do

Lead engineering across Core Product and Platform, and other high-scale distributed systems

Set direction for availability, latency, reliability, and long-term system architecture

Partner with founders on company-wide engineering strategy and prioritization

Coach and grow engineering managers and staff engineers

Build and reinforce a culture of ownership, clarity, urgency, and technical excellence

Maintain high velocity without compromising correctness or quality

Simplify complex problems and keep teams aligned and unblocked

What You'll Bring

10+ years of experience leading distributed systems teams at scale

Strong technical depth, ideally in performance-sensitive or always-on systems

Experience operating high-availability production systems (e.g. AWS, Cloudflare, Datadog, Vercel, or similar)

Ability to drive clarity and execution in ambiguous, high-pressure scenarios

Strong people leadership skills paired with deep curiosity and a bias for ownership

Nice to Have

Exposure to Solana, blockchain, or web3 infrastructure
