Postdoctoral Senior Research Associate

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The AMIR Lab is seeking a highly motivated postdocto join our research team at Illinois Tech that has a passion for metal additive manufacturing (AM) and expertise in any of the areas below :

Hands-on experience in :

• Additive manufacturing of High Entropy alloys and Al-based alloys
• Powder characterization – Microstructure characterization (SEM, EBSD, TEM, XRD)
• Mechanical testing (tensile, fatigue, creep)
• Corrosion behavior (electrochemistry & high-temperature oxidation)
• In-situ monitoring of AM processes
