Job Title : Radiation Therapist (Contract)
Location : Boston, MA
Shift : 8-Hour Day Shift
Pay - $66 - $72
Description :
We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a contract opportunity. This role offers guaranteed 72 hours biweekly on all assignments (excluding on-call hours).
Job Summary :
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for safely and accurately delivering radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. This includes performing daily maintenance and quality assurance checks on equipment, maintaining treatment documentation, and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities :
Deliver prescribed radiation therapy treatments using TrueBeam Linear Accelerators.
Provide patient and family education to support treatment compliance.
Monitor and report patients’ physical and physiological responses to treatment.
Position and immobilize patients accurately according to treatment plans.
Maintain treatment logs and accurate records of all procedures.
Collaborate with Level II Radiation Therapists to resolve clinical issues.
Perform quality assurance checks and maintain adherence to safety protocols.
Manage and maintain department supplies and inventory.
Requirements :
License : Massachusetts RadTech-Radiation Therapy License (MA RadTech-RadThrpy)
Certification : ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) and BLS required
Experience : Minimum 2 years of related experience
Graduate of a JCRT-accredited Radiation Therapy program
Proficiency in IMRT and IGRT techniques
Experience with TrueBeam Linear Accelerators required
Basic computer skills and ability to navigate web-based applications
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience using MOSAIQ record and verify system
Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
