Job Requirements

  • Education Requirements : Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree from an accredited institution
  • Certifications Requirements : Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arkansas, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (preferred), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (preferred)
  • Experience Requirements : Minimum of 1 year of recent perioperative nursing experience in an operating room setting
  • Other Requirements : Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication skills, physical ability to stand for extended periods, strong organizational skills

    • Job Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care to surgical patients, ensuring safety and adherence to professional standards.
  • Organize and manage operating room setup, including equipment, supplies, and patient positioning prior to procedures.
  • Assist surgical team and support anesthesia personnel throughout the surgical process, anticipating their needs.
  • Ensure strict aseptic techniques are maintained, including proper sterilization, handling of sterile supplies, and documentation.
  • Participate in safety protocols such as "time out" to verify patient identity, procedure, and surgical site before incision.
